Hi! My name is Juliet, I’m a public health student and I’m honoured to be part of the SES
2025 Ambassador team. I’m passionate about climate action, public health, and sustainable development, especially where they intersect with energy access and equity. I believe energy is more than just electricity but also about empowering communities, improving health outcomes, and creating opportunities. Through my background in public health and my advocacy work, l experienced how lack of clean, reliable energy affects healthcare delivery, education, and everyday life in vulnerable remote communities. I’m excited to learn, collaborate, and help shape a future where energy systems work for both people and the planet because I feel like that is a step in the right direction to curbing climate change.
I was involved in Project Trust while I interned with Connected Development in Abuja, Nigeria.
the project primarily focused on improving transparency in health and education service delivery, it also highlighted the need for reliable energy in public institutions like schools and primary health centres. Many of the facilities we worked with lacked stable electricity, which affected vaccine storage,
emergency care, and digital record keeping. The experience reinforced for me how central clean energy is to sustainable development-and why youth voices are needed to push for just energy transitions that meet real community needs because people don’t really understand what is going on in these communities, most people only hear but never get to see or experience it but I have and I’m willing to put my voice out there to make impact as much as I can.
