SES 2026 Ambassador

Sean Schrader
MBA Graduate, TEDx Speaker
I’m a recent graduate of the University of South Florida with my MBA, and prior to that my bachelors degree in business management. I’ve always called Florida my home, and have enjoyed opportunities for work in government as the District Office Manager for now-former US Congressman Charlie Crist, service at my university as the Campus Governor of the University of South Florida St. Petersburg campus, and engagement on a global scale serving as a USA Youth Ambassador at the World Expo in Osaka, Japan. I’m passionate about many things like the SDGs, youth in governance, and the future of work which have allowed me opportunities for advocacy at the United Nations, World Bank, and UNESCO. I aspire to go to law school, and serve my country as a JAG officer in the US military.
In the fall of 2023, I was very fortunate to participate in the Student Energy Career Training (SECT) program, working with a team of talented young leaders and C40 Cities to develop a project in “Refining Our Scopes & Sectors”, looking at the future of sustainable action within large cities, and the types of initiatives that could help combat climate change. Developing reccomendations backed by research and data, we put forward a comprehensive report looking to target action in three key areas of finance, infrastructure, and food & beverage. Our guidance relied up integrating renewable energy sources in new developments, localizing food systems in large areas, and establishing grant incentive programs to promote green investment. As C40 cities works across a wide-array of sectors, I was honored to work on this project thanks to SECT, and share my insights in helping to shape their future work.
