Project Managment Specialist | BRICS YEA | Sustainability & Economic Policy Researcher | COP29 | Youth & Sustainability Advocate | UNECE YGE
I’m Nazrin Aliyeva from Azerbaijan, passionate about sustainability, climate action, and youth empowerment. I hold a degree in Accounting and currently work as a Senior Project Managment Specialist at the Ministry of Science and Education. Alongside my professional journey, I’ve organized educational and environmental projects for children, participated in international youth conferences, and contributed to global sustainability communities such as UNECE YGE and BRICS YEA. I also supported the organization of COP29 as part of the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company. I believe in the power of youth-led initiatives to drive systemic change and make sustainability accessible to everyone.
I co-organized the “Uşaqlarımıza Öyrədək” initiative in Azerbaijan to support inclusive education for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. I was also part of the Green Zone Programming and Partnership team at COP29, where I helped coordinate sustainability-focused conferences and train volunteers. Currently, at the Ministry of Science and Education, I’m involved in nationwide projects such as teacher certification and recruitment, which annually attract around 50,000 educators and graduates. Internationally, I’ve contributed to the BRICS Youth Energy Outlook 2024 and actively engage in communities like UNECE YGE to promote youth participation in climate policy.
