Clara Dourado Fernandes is an environmental engineer and a PhD candidate in Chemical Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) in Brazil, co-supervised by the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) in Germany. Throughout her academic career, Clara has developed expertise in bioprocesses for waste and effluent treatment and the development of biomaterials. With several publications in scientific journals and participated in international conferences. Clara has dedicated herself to sustainable innovation, seeking solutions with a positive environmental impact.
